Now when you recycle old materials, they will be used to construct new products. For example, when you recycle old pieces of technology, the old batteries may be used to construct new batteries, or the frame of your phone may be used to construct another phone. There’s a saying: One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. That certainly is the case with 3D printing from recycled materials.

Many recent initiatives to repurpose plastic and other materials have resulted in projects that showcase the power of 3D printing. These projects have raised the awareness of recycling tremendously. In addition, they have shown the true power of 3D printing, showing others that you can use recycled materials well and for good purpose.

While some of the products may not be perfect due to flaws in recycled materials, they are much better than what they used to be. 3D printing is still evolving, and with recycled materials as a possible material now, it can really go high.
